Our Journey: Walking the Good Red Road

Rooted in Family & Nature

Red Road Herbs Retreat & Learning Center LLC is a three-generation family business in rural Stanton County, Nebraska. For over 30 years, we have lived, worked, and learned on this land, cultivating a deep connection with nature and plant wisdom.

My daughter, Jazmine, granddaughter, Caydence, and I handle the growing, harvesting, salve-making, and marketing, while my husband, Michael, and son, Levi, support events, projects, and maintenance. Our entire family is woven into this journey, and we are honored to share it with others.

The Seeds of a Lifelong Passion

At age 10, a Girl Scout leader sparked my interest in Native American culture and the Good Red Road, leading to a lifelong respect for Indigenous traditions and plant relationships.

Though my ancestors were Scottish and displaced from their homelands, my business name honors the wisdom that taught me, “We are all related.”

From Garden to Gathering Place

In 1996, my daughter and I created our first batch of "The Best Herbal Salve Ever." Our passion for plants flourished, and today, we cultivate over 100 herbs in gardens that serve as "living textbooks."

We are stewards of this peaceful sanctuary, sharing its healing beauty through classes, plant walks, and quiet reflection, helping others reconnect with nature.
